World No. 102 Sramkova defeated Laura Siegemund 6-4, 6-4 to win the Thailand Open title in Hua Hin.

The Bratislava-born baseliner scored her ninth victory in her last 10 matches.

Sramkova’s breakthrough triumph came one week after she lost to British qualifier Sonay Kartal 6-3, 7-5 in the Monastir final.

Today, Sramkova broke Siegemund’s serve four times in a one hour, 56-minute victory.
